Submit your return

Select the item / item's you wish to return and give a reason for your return.

You will receive a confirmation email with your RMA number and shipping guidelines once the return request has been approved.

Pack up your order

Please pack your order in its original packaging.

Clothing should be unwashed and unworn.

Please write your RMA number on the box.

Finalising your return

Once your return has been received at our warehouse it will be inspected.

When the return is approved we will refund you or exchange the item depending on the nature of the return.

For selecting BIRKENSTOCK. Every product is backed by our long tradition of selling quality footwear. If you are dissatisfied with your purchase,
you can return the product to us and we will exchange, refund or give you a voucher subject to the terms below.

Shoe Care Products cannot be exchanged via our online returns or exchange portal. In order to request an exchange, kindly contact our Customer Care Centre:

We are happy to exchange products within 60 days from date of purchase, provided the items are:

  • Undamaged and unworn, with original labels and stickers
  • In the original packaging, which must not be damaged
  • Not missing any accessories or parts
  • You have proof of purchase

Products can be exchanged for a different size. Should the size variation not be available a voucher will be issued to the value of the products bought, allowing you to reorder on our website.

Once we receive and inspect your return we will process the exchange or issue a voucher for the value of the product. Any shipping charges that may apply will not be refunded. Please allow approx. 14 days for the processing of your return.

Should you wish to exchange your product for a shoe of higher value, you will be required to pay the balance of the purchase price before we ship it to you.

You may exchange your item within 60 days from date of purchase. Items can be refunded within 14 days from date of purchase. The item should be undamaged and unworn with the original labels and packaging. Original proof of purchase should be provided. Sale items can be refunded within 10 days and exchanged within 60 days from date of purchase. For full T&C's, please visit www.bashafrica.com

Once we receive and inspect your return we will refund you using the same payment method that you used to purchase the product. Any shipping charges that may apply will not be refunded. Please allow approx. 14 days for the processing of your return.

Products returned after the 14-day period may only be exchanged.

Note, refunds could take up to 7-10 business days, however we are committed to processing refunds and returns as quickly as possible.

*Only valid on selected items, while stocks last. Sale items can be refunded within 10 days from date of purchase. Sale items can be exchanged within 30 days.

If we cannot exchange the item for a different size, we will issue a voucher for the value of the purchase.

Although we aim to provide you with the highest quality BIRKENSTOCK shoes without any defects, there are those few with material imperfections. These are considered defects. If you would like to report a defective product, please contact customercare@bashafrica.com and provide us with your proof of purchase and a few pictures of the defective shoes.

You can return defective products within 6 months from date of purchase, except for:

  • Damages resulting from normal wear and tear;
  • Damages arising from negligence, user abuse or incorrect usage of the product;
  • Damages arising from a failure to care for the product

Note that we cannot guarantee a replacement pair, as these products may be end of range and not available in the business. If we cannot exchange the item, we will issue you a voucher to the value of your purchase.

Discount codes or vouchers will be valid for 3 months from date received. Discount codes and Gift Cards are non-transferable and can only be used by the recipient.

Gift Cards and eGift Cards are considered a final sale and are not eligible for return or refund.

Gift Cards expire after 3 years from the date of purchase.
