Thank you for selecting BIRKENSTOCK. Every product is backed by our long tradition of selling quality footwear. If you are dissatisfied with your purchase, you can return the product to us and we will exchange, refund or give you a voucher subject to the terms below.

EXCHANGES

We are happy to exchange products within 30 days from date of purchase, provided the items are:

  • undamaged and unworn, with original labels and stickers
  • in the original packaging, which must not be damaged
  • not missing any accessories or parts
  • You have proof of purchase

Products can be exchanged for a different size or style provided that such a variation is available, and is available at the same price as the product originally purchased. Should the variation not be available a voucher will be issued to the value of the products bought, allowing you to reorder on our website.

Once we receive and inspect your return we will process the exchange or issue a voucher for the value of the product. Any shipping charges that may apply will not be refunded. Please allow approx. 14 days for the processing of your return.

Should you wish to exchange your product for a shoe of higher value, you will be required to pay the balance of the purchase price before we ship it to you. 

REFUNDS

We will refund products within 14 days from date of purchase, provided the items are:

  • undamaged and unworn, with original labels and stickers
  • in the original packaging, which must not be damaged
  • not missing any accessories or parts
  • You have proof of purchase

Once we receive and inspect your return we will refund you using the same payment method that you used to purchase the product. Any shipping charges that may apply will not be refunded. Please allow approx. 14 days for the processing of your return.

Products returned after the 14-day period may only be exchanged.

Note, refunds could take up to 7-10 business days, however we are committed to processing refunds and returns as quickly as possible.

SALE PRODUCTS

We will refund products on sale within 10 days from date of purchase. If outside this period we are happy to exchange the product within 30 days from date of purchase at same sale price paid, provided the items are:

  • undamaged and unworn, with original labels and stickers
  • in the original packaging, which must not be damaged
  • not missing any accessories or parts
  • You have proof of purchase

Note that we cannot guarantee exchanges on sale items, as these items are clearance products and may be the last items available in the business. If we cannot exchange the item for a different size, we will issue you a voucher to the value of your purchase to shop online. 

CANCELLATIONS

Orders can only be cancelled if the stock has not been dispatched. Once the stock has left our warehouse, we are not able to accept a cancellation.

DEFECTIVE PRODUCTS

Although we aim to provide you with the highest quality BIRKENSTOCK shoes without any defects, there are those few with material imperfections. These are considered defects. If you would like to report a defective product , please contact customercare@bashafrica.com and provide us with your proof of purchase and a few pictures of the defective shoes.

You can return defective products within 6 months from date of purchase, except for:

  • Damages resulting from normal wear and tear;
  • Damages arising from negligence, user abuse or incorrect usage of the product;
  • Damages arising from a failure to care for the product

Note that we cannot guarantee a replacement pair, as these products may be end of range and not available in the business. If we cannot exchange the item, we will issue you a voucher to the value of your purchase.

AUTHORIZED RETAILERS RETURNS

We can only accept returns from purchases made on www.bashafrica.com or at an official BIRKENSTOCK store. If you made a purchase from an independent authorised stockist, please contact them directly for information on their return policy.

GIFT CARDS AND VOUCHERS

Gift Cards and eGift Cards are considered a final sale and are not eligible for return or refund.
Gift Cards expire after 3 years from the date of purchase.
